300 Seconds: Episode 4

Oh my, another episode of 300 Seconds. I hope you found those five minutes you were looking for (did you check the couch?) to listen, because I’m going to talk about Tribes. I’ll try to limit more free to play talking in the near future; I realize I’ve done a lot of it lately. Also, I give some props to the guys over at Immortal Machines for letting me come on their show; if you end up with some surplus minutes you can go listen to some great podcasting over there as well. As promised in the podcast, here is my referral link for Tribes. You know, if you love me.

It seems like Tribes’ model is much like TF2′s, where it’s not really pay2win, you’re actually buying side-grades (or play-styles), so in the end skill still trumps all else.

I can tell by playing Ascend that I probably would’ve loved Tribes back in the day when I was in my twitch-shooting prime, but I was too busy playing UT and TFC. Now I just can’t keep up with the crazy speed. Seems solid, so I hope it’s doing well.

Also, 8641 seconds is far, far too many seconds for any podcast.

Yeah, like I said before, I was never really good at Tribes, but now I’m just bad. Bad bad. Still a load of fun, though.
